Humm, I'm a little late to incorporate them into the glass work, but yes I understand they will take a beating. I was thinking they might be able to absorb impacts better if they weren't coated in a hard shell of epoxy/varnish but left o-naturael. I have seen fiberglass get a spider web of cracks on impacts.
