Re: Undercoating

John,
I used a two part poly (evil smelling epoxy) primer from Epifanes under my two part (") Epifanes hull paint and it worked out great - ie: the primer was as hard as the paint, and could be wet sanded just like the paint. I've read too much about hi-build and talc based primers on this forum to ever wish to try them.
If your undercoater and paint are like mine, you'll surely need a good respirator with vapor handling. These products gave me a good idea of how the original epoxies must have been to work with - not fun!
Best of luck with the rest of the build - looking foreward to your launch stories.
