pulley lift-do it!
Posted by dave stanley on Sep 23, 2004
I dropped my wife's CH 16 while attempting to hang it up on a sling and a hook on the stern. Cracked the stern which is under repair as it fell 6 feet onto concrete, ouch! The last time this occurred I went to pulleys, costs $40-50 for the rope and hardware bbut it takes the worry out of it. and it so much easier. I spread the cracked piece that went about 4 inches on the right of the hull panel, didn't cross the chine and put some Cabosil in it and clamped. May put a piece of glasstape over the outside.
