I finished two CH16's (first kayaks) about 6 months ago and the first time I got in it I was a little concerned about staying upright. After just 6 months of paddling (in winter, so I don't get out alot) I'm quite comfortable leaning it until the coaming is touching the water surface, any further than that and it does tend to point my head toward the bottom of the ocean.
