I hope by reading this thread - and there have been MANY more in the past - that you are aware that you must NEVER let hardener or uncured epoxy touch your skin. Buy your vinyl gloves in bulk at a pharmacy or home depot and realize that you will go through them like water.
For fun, read Kurt Mauer's saga of building a Pair o Mill Creeks in the Builder's section, to get an idea of what you're dealing with when it comes to the various iterations of epoxy (Kurt names them all) and gloves (Kurt's wife Leslie is an EMT).
This is all a ton of fun, but we're playing with serious stuff here, and we don't want your first kayak to be your last.
