Re: Logo's and Images

I drew and painted an orca on the deck of my triple in the traditional NW Indian art form using black, red, and blue marine paints. I began by using a stabilo pen (similar to a wax pencil but washes off with water and a napkin)and outlined the image. I gently sanded within that outline just enough to allow the paint to better adhere to the surface.I finished all the details of the drawing then painted within the lines. When the paint dried I washed off the stabilo pen lines. It required several steps since I was using several colors. In researching this effort I was told more than once that placing the image on the surface before varnishing might result in some yellowing of the art. I am very pleased with the results.
