The Artic Hawk has rcv'd high marks all around, haven't paddled it myself.
CH 17 is a high volume design. My 17 LT is subject to some windage, and could still easily hold 4 days of camping stuff. CH 17LT is an "all arounder" that can cover a lot of ground in its own right - some have suggested reinforcing the rear deck above CLCs standard plan, which as an builder-user, I endorse.
