Deck Nails Too High

After finishing the second deck (we're building two) on the same day - way in the wee hours of the morning, we seem to have left a few of the deck nails a little too high. By the time we noticed this, the epoxy was hard. It's been about two weeks now and even with sanding some are still a little proud. Is it too late to hit 'em with again and try to get them flush with the deck?
