epoxy cure time

I'm finding that the epoxy seeems to be taking longer to cure than when I started the boat. Part of it is that it has been cool lately which I'm considering but I'm talking 3-4 days. I'm building up coamings&rims, nearly finished, and finding the epoxy is not completely set ie, hard-ened. It is holding but when I started sanding it gummed the sanding disc immediately. The resin is the MAS slow, could it have gone bad, it has become very dark? Thanks for any help, Terry.
