Less fuss than tape masking your fillets as follows: Use a tongue depressor or semi-flexible poly spatula with the proper corner radius for the final SLOW pass along the fillet, insuring a clean break between the fillet and the squeeze-out on either side. Take another tongue depressor with a skew cut across the end and the end beveled (a disposable skew plane , if you well) and run it right along the squeeze out to pick it up. Quick and neat, and you're done.
