Josh,

I used the 10.9 oz cloth cut in about 4 inch wide strips. These were layed up one at a time and it worked really well, except the ends, which I didn't keep wrapped tightly enough. I used left over copper wire and cut up garbage bags to keep the wrap around the PVC while the epoxy cured. I still need to do up a layer of epoxy on the shaft and probably the blades too when I get home tonight, then sand and paddle. I'll varnish them with one layer when I get back from my trip.
