What next?

Have got the last fill coat on the deck glass of my CH17. Should I sand the deck down before putting on the cockpit combing, cutting the hatches and putting on the rub rails? I've overlapped the deck glass 1 1/2 inches down tha sides, I need to at least fair that off before the rub rails go on I imagine.
