If you have *lots* of longer reach clamps you can get away from nailing it on. I usually pick up a couple Cheap-X clamps when they go on sale at the local home improvement big box, so I had a few on hand as you can see. I did one rub rail at a time -- I cannot imagine getting two of those slippery things on at once. No nails used. It gets tricky where the camber of the foredeck exceeds the depth (throat?) of the clamp. I used packing tape and straps there. If you have your cockpit trimmed and your hatch openings cut those make good places to put a few clamps. Hope this helps. Good luck.
