Re: Hole in bottom panel

Veto, My "Yare" popped off my truck and hit the pavement. It suffered about six cracks and two holes. The largest hole was about the size of a coffee cup. None of the wood became detached. I attacked each break separatly. I forced the broken edges up from the inside with blocks and wedges. When each was flush I glued it with straight epoxy from the outside. A single layer of 6 oz. 'glass reinforced the broken area from the inside. Some spots came out low so I filled them with epoxy mixed with wood dust that gave me a rough color match. The outline of the breaks are still visible but the hull seems to be suitably stong in the patched area. Charlie
