While on the whole I agree with Steve, that 2 minutes is way too long for a 3 oz batch. I do about 30 seconds or so. Longer than that doesn't accomplish much besides whipping in air and eats into the pot life time. That last is an especially important concern since I use fast hardener for all my structural stuff like sheer clamps and hatch stiffeners. In the summer, that lets me glue structures before I go to work and then resume gluing when I get home.

I've never had a batch fail to harden or a joint fail.
