Use the D-F-D as Lee suggests. Then put some 3M 4200 or 5200 on the backside of the Keepers and the bolt holes as mentioned in the New Kayak Shop (I think). No leaks and you can separate the keepers from the hull later if required. Even the 5200 comes off. Use a spreader stick if necessary to push the center of the Keepers rail to the curvature of the hull. The 3M helps the bolts hold the rails in place. Even with the deck on, it's not difficult to reach in the cockpit and clean up the squeeze out.
