Nothing like pictures. That's about what I'd expect for a person your size with that original design undergoing conventional rescue practice.

I'd repair the underside first then glass the deck. Put in another 4mmply strip over the broken hatch strips fore/aft. Put another ply strip on the sides of the hatch hole connecting the fore/aft strips. Lay some tape along the underside where the crack shows through. Sand all the varnish off and into the epoxy. Lay some glass on the deck and finish. If glassing the deck is more work than you want just do the underside and sand/seal the crack saving the big glassing operation for the next kayak.
