Pete, Just posted this since it is a new application adapted to kayaks. Have very limited experience with hydrofoils. Have only sailed a hydrofoil once. It did take some wind speed to get it up but once up on the foil, it stayed there and didn't come down until a much lower wind speed, not hull speed.
