Karl; The spreader is in the right place in those photos. If your outside to outside spread there is 24.5, (the spreader stick should be shorter that 24.5, spreader stick + two shear clamp thicknesses + two hull panel thicknesses should equal close to 24.5) and at the right location from the bow, those edges will pull together as you get closer when stitching from the bow. That gap will get smaller and smaller as you get closer to it. Make sure the wires stitching the two bottom panels together are not tight (leave em loose) and dont make the ones connecting the side and bottom panels to tight. Do a few on one side and the a few on the other side. Once you get a ways down the hull it will start looking like a boat. After it all stiched, then go back and start tightening the wires. Every thing else looks good to me. The first picture you took shows that the shear clamps are on the right side of the hull panel.
