You didn't glue the sheer clamps to the wrong edges of the panels, did you?

The spreader stick goes in the *top* part of the hull, and the lower edges of the side panels slant in towards the bottom panel edges. This gives your hull sides a little "flare". Just know that the hull sides are NOT intended to be vertical; they should "tilt" inwards at the lower edges to catch the bottom at the chines. All this is reversed on an upside-down hull, of course...
