From the pictures, looks like your spreader bar is located in the wrong area of the hull. It should be located on the shear clamps (what will be the top edge of the hull). That will allow the hull side panels to fold in to meet up with the hull bottom panels. The way it is now the hull side panel are being held vertical and can't rotate in.
