one more maybe

I had a hardener pump incident a few weeks ago when I was doing a fill coat on the deck. Some of it had coagulated in the pump and then burped out as chunks into the pot. Being a cheapskate I didn't just want to dump it all out so I strained the chunks of hardener out as best I could. Still tiny bits in there, though. When I put it on the deck I got some fisheyes around the tiny bits of hardener that had not dissolved into the resin. Is it possible something like this is going on with your epoxy? I sanded the hell out of it as Kurt suggests above (yes even going a molecule or two *into* the weave) and the next fill coat went on fine. Just a thought and some "I sanded like hell and it worked for me" encouragement. Good luck.
