redoing cockpit glass?
Posted by Mischa on Jun 28, 2004
I am about to put the deck on which means that it is my last change to easily work on the inside of the hull. This leads me to a dilemma: I am building my first craft and, consequently, hadnt worked with fiberglass before; the fiberglass for the cockpit is really badly done. There are bubbles of epoxy, bubbles of air and it looks terrible. Also, the weave isnt entirely filled because to fill all of the little bubbles would really increase the weight and be no fun to do. My questions then: 1. should I remove this sheet of fiberglass and redo it? 2. if I do, whats the best way to take it off Id hate to have to sand it all off!
Thanks again, all
