No solvent on the new paint! After wet sanding just wash with plain water. No soap needed. Wipe dry with clean rags. Should be ready to go.

I find that any little paint or varnish creep can usually be removed at the tape line with a dental pick and a gentle touch. Thinner causes other problems. Do your picking as soon as you can.
