I put on a white pigmented fill coat that provided an even color to paint on,,that reduced the number of coats needed with yellow paint by one. I think I put down two regular fill coats, sanded lightly then two white pigmented fill coats. This gave an indicator to the depth of scratches. Any scratches into the glass would show up dark but scratches into epoxy would still be white.
