I bought the porter-cable ROS and have been happy with it. Don't have much to compare it to, but the reviews on Amazon were all positive.

Believe it or not, the paper still has a bite to it! I bought a box of premium porter-cable paper at lowes, the paper is red colored and i think the grit is coated in epoxy so it doesn't rub off.

In fact, the paper is strong enough that I used it to remove the points of wire that remained after clipping the stitches.

I don't have the heart to recount my deck story now. Sorry to have piqued your interest for no reason.
