Re: Exterior gap filling?

I had very good luck mixing fillers to match using different saw dusts. I got some real dark stuff from a local custom woodworking shop. They were happy to give a grocery bag of it from the dust collector. I filtered out the big chunks and did some test batches using different ratios. I marked each test on a wood mixing stick so I could could save them for reference. The System 3 flour is very light, lighter than the okume ply so I mixed some at 25%, 50% and 75% blends then of course one each of each flour alone. That gave me 8 colors of mix. I picked the one that matched the best and made a pint or so of it. Still have most of it.

Fun project to do.
