Exterior gap filling?
Posted by Archie M. Sullivan on Jun 24, 2004
I am almost to the stage of glassing the outside of my MC16.5 which I plan to leave unpainted. The manual says to fill the exterior gaps with wood flour thickened epoxy but the wood flour I used to make the interior fillets is much darker that the panels. I was thinking that I read somewhere that cabosil thickened epoxy would show through the glass as a white-ish/milky line. Is this true? Should I try to match panel color by mixing wood flour and regular flour? Is there a way to do it with unthickened epoxy? Any other options?
