I wonder why this is? Ah well, if I were endeavoring to glass my cockpit area, I believe I would tack the cloth into position with dabs of epoxy, which would be incorporated into the general wet-out soon enough. Where to stop the cloth is really up to you, although once again I believe I would stop it at the chines, since I don't need the glass on the side walls... *and* I wish to save weight wherever I safely may.
But then, I don't believe I need glass inside my cockpit at all, and would thus save the weight of the whole dang thing.
