Ah. thanks Kurt! I've actually had this boat for a while. built it in '97 and refinished the deck last year. I sanded it down to the epoxy, applied varnish, but only gave it a day to dry before applying another coat. So this begs the question.. how do you know when varnish is fully dry? The first coat sure seemed dry when i applied the second. I recall the label on the zspar varnish saying it's ready to sand and recoat in 12 hours.
