There Ya Go!

George,

I've been fishing just about all my loooong life, and can easily transfer an old angler's saying to kayaking: "A bad day fishing (kayaking) beats a good day (everything else)".

Even when fishing or paddling with a group, there are moments when you are alone with the water and a deep sense of calm settles over you. I used to really feel it when still- fishing for perch in a summer drizzle wearing a slicker and a big water proof hat - totally suspended in time and space.

I can't wait to paddle in those conditions with a spray skirt. You're so much closer to the water than in any other craft, and that feeling of well being must be intense. I can see the attraction of paddling in fog.

It's all good...
