If you put it under the glass you will be less likely to sand into it when you refinish the varnish. On top the epoxy and under the varnish you can sand off her name and put on the name of your new girl friend/ favorite band/brand of beverage. Easier than removeing a tattoo. How permanent do you want it? RogerJ
