Try adding some weight in the rear compartment and see what happens. One time I loaded my CH16 with camping gear and had too much weight in the front. I could not paddle a straight line to save my life. After redistributing the load (i.e., moving the beer to the rear compartment), she tracked normally. With your seat location, however, I would think the unloaded boat should be balanced regardless of your weight. It may simply be a characteristic of the boat and a skeg or rudder may be the answer. Perhaps if you identify the model specifically, others with more experience will be able to help better.
