Peter, High build primer is based on talc. I assume you'll be sanding a little before your second coat which will remove the white talc.

I'm only suggesting to try it on a small spot to see if it gives the sticky something to hold onto other than you.

But if it's still so soft you can put fingerprints in it - I'd paddle plastic and wait.
