I wonder how much a white of other light color pigment would retard UV damage to epoxy as compared to a darker or black pigment. Don't know the answer but, by analogy, I suspect the difference could be significant: I learned years ago that black or dark running rigging on sailboats holds up to UV better than white.

Of course, all you sunbelt paddlers better wear some heat insulation it you intend to sit in the bottom on a boat wih a black interior. Should make for a nice sizzle.
