Re: Revarnish deck & sili

Believe it or not, I'll probably use silicone again. Assuming that the varnish goes on o.k. then I will have learned to deal with silicone. I ended up spending about 20 minutes scraping the screw hole areas. Not a long time in the grand scheme of kayak building. I want to continue to have no waterstains around the deck screws on this still young kayak. After all, my 19 year old sailboat (ComPac-19) is still in excellent condition - But it is mostly fiberglass. But I'm open to silicine alternative suggestions.
