Re: CH17 deck alignment

I used the forward deck beam to line things up. You attach the coaming and spacers with nails into the deck beam, so you want to make sure the deck hole covers the deck beam and that the back of the coaming spacer hits plywood. The plywood hole is smaller than the actual opening will be. Lay the deck on, and then lay your coaming spacers on top and you'll see that the deck overhangs the inside of the coaming spacer a good inch or two. Center your hole based on providing plywood support to the coaming spacer, and knowing the coaming spacer location is determined by your deck beam location. (don't know if I said that well, but if you play with the peices you'll know what I mean).
