Mike,

If nothing else, you've purchased two of the prettiest paddles - and they're nice and light.

Due to my size and amazing strength, I've ordered a 12 laminate wooden Bending Branches Tailwind at 240cm. It is 10 + oz heavier than your Grey Owls so you can imagine the guns I'm gonna develope this summer.

Any chance you could get you and your boat to an outfitter who will let you try a bunch out? I've heard this is really the best way.
