Epoxy in the wire holes?

Posted by Dave on May 13, 2004

I am about to fill in the gaps on the outside of my hull where the bent panels didn't quite meet flush and left small angled gaps (like bottom stern).

Is it worth it, while I have a pot of wood flour and epoxy, to dab some around each of the copper wires (now snipped) just to fill in the little holes better and bury the copper under something a little more wood colored?

I used a #57 bit so the holes were pretty tight, but in the process of stitching some of them got a tiny bit stretched.

Does the cloth hide the wires okay? Am I just creating more sanding fun for the weekend?
