1. the A.Hawk has sheer clamps made out of a doubled piece of 4mm ply after the hull is formed. Did you apply the seam tape on the Merganser through the hatches or cockpit? I found that you can pour a thin fillet down seam with the hull on it's side, leave it to cure partially then apply tape. That'll put a minimal endpour aligned with the seams and not a flat plug.

2.there's are temporary frames holding the deck shape while the epoxy cures on deck seam and coaming. Multiple glassing layers on the deck extend forward. Not sure if there's underdeck glass but there are no deck beams. Imagine a builder of a Northbay getting an extra 1/2" of shin scraping room if it was built without a deck beam.

3.the hull shape is dependant on the shape of the panels,,tapering the edges reduces the amount of exposed ply and interior fillet goop a small amount by putting more wood in the middle of the joint.

4. butt joints with major interior reinforcements.

For glueing scarf joints if you put small nails through and around the panels there is no creep. The directions should specify that.
