Save your unused disks. They work great for wet sanding later. One of the reasons I do not like 80 or even 100 grit near my boats. Work smooth, use a scraper and get into the "zen of sanding". Change disks when you seem to not make progress. Lee is right, the shop vac hooked to the sander does make the disks seem to last longer.
