Re: what they said

Thanks guys. The bottom is coming along great its the sides that are the real pain with the overlapping glass and the runs. I found the weave spit test in one of the earlier posts and that has been quite useful in some spots. I may have to pickup another 6 pack this afternoon to keep my hydration level up.

As for changing sandpaper, any tips on how many minutes of sanding an 80 grit disc as good for? I use the Dewalt 5" ROS and it does a great job sucking up the epoxy dust so I really don't get much epoxy buildup in the disk like I do with the sanding block. But after sanding for 20 minutes with a disc, you can definitely feel that the grit isn't as sharp as it was at first.

I saw somewhere that someone said when they first start out with 80 grit they change the paper after 3 feet. But considering that I am going over everything real lightly at first and coming back to work work on the rougher spots, that would mean changing the paper every 2 minutes which seems like overkill.

Thoughts?
