I have had good results reduceing broaching and weathercocking by the use of a skeg installed under the backband area of the hull. The size I use is 1" deep and 18" long. It has helped the kayaks handleing in all conditions I paddle in without looseing any manuverability. It's easy to try different options with plywood and duct tape.
