1. round first, most of the time the small gap can be filled with a thick fillet mix before glassing. The wet-out coat will fill <1mm gaps. I recall that going to the effort of filling/waiting/rounding resulted in removing 80% of what was applied with an even chance of not filling the inside of the gap.

2. a sheet of 80 grit wrapped the long ways around a 11" 2x4, plane if the gobs aren't in the way. ROS is dicey as you might put in a sequence of divots between the hard wire holes every time the sanding disc gets near hard epoxy left around the wires.
