I don't think you want to do the end pours before planing the sheer clamps. The end pour will need to match the camber of the deck and will be impossible to plane.

The method described by lee is quite popular from what I can tell and sounds like the easiest method of doing end pours... as long as you don't live in a windy area.

If you do decide to do the end pours inside using the dam method (cardboard cut-out to the shape of the hull and sheer clamps) there were a couple of good tips. Here's what I'll do on my next boat:

1. Use a thin styrofoam plate instead of cardboard since it won't ever cause problems by absorbing water.

2. After taping in the styrofoam dam, I'll use peanut butter filets along the dams edges as additional insurance against a leaking dam. Then I'll fill the dam as directed by CLC.

Or -- I'll stand the boat on end after the deck is attached.
