OK heres the generalizations im trying to make...

I read soem reviews thatt he SEDA is a very STRAIGHT tracking kayak - paddle.net I believe, to the point it seemed a liability in rough water. But... its fast

Sounds like the WR180 in rough water, which seems to be better for protected waters as the corrective strokes to overcome its strong tracking seem a lot of bother when the waves start to stack up...

which agreed with...

Wilderness systems touting there cape horns as multichine designs suited for bays, protected waters and flat seas but not open ocean.

So I womdered if that was a class in itself, the fast straight tracking "sea kayaks" really more at home on lakes and protected bays, flat oceans - as Wilderness Systems touts its Cape Horns.

The Futura was my gaf. I thought they tracked like trains - my wrong.
