How exactly does the Take-Apart Passagemaker Dinghy work?

The Take-Apart has two forward bulkheads, each the same thickness as the Passagemaker Standard's bulkhead (9 mm).  The upper pair of bolts are backed with washers. The lower pair is permanently epoxied into lumber reinforcements that are affixed to the forward side of the forward bulkhead (inside the air chamber). When all four bolts are snugged, the entire boat becomes a single monolithic hull, i.e. in use you won't notice that it is comprised of two-parts.
