The E-Pastry Bag
When you are ready to fill the seams on a LapstitchTM hull or, you are looking at a mile or so of filleting, try this trick.
Step 1: Reinforce a Zip-LockTM bag - Reinforce the corner, bottom, and one side of a one-Lock Reinforce the corner, bottom, and one side of a one-gallon Zip-LockTM bag with duct tape. The tape is necessary as even the best quality bag will split along the welded seam when you apply pressure to squeeze out the mix. Mix up your epoxy and thicken to the proper consistency.
Step 2: Loading the bag - You can use an empty mixing container to hold the bag as you load it. When you have the material down to the reinforced corner, snip off the tip. Try a 1/8” hole for filling lap joints and a bit more for filleting.
Step 3: Filleting with the bag - Roll up the bag and squeeze the contents on the joint. Before you begin to smooth out the bead of epoxy, use all of the mix in the bag. It will harden very fast, in fact, you will feel the mix begin to warm up after only a few minutes. Remember to clean your fillets of excess epoxy before it cures.

Tip: Cleaning up fillets
Before you begin filleting, run masking tape along both sides of all joints you are about to fillet. It will make clean-up a breeze. When you have the fillets nice and smooth, go ahead and pull off the tape. It will take most of the excess epoxy with it, and give you clean fillets.
