With last week's Skerry class wrapped up (another one coming in July in Newport, RI), we're back to work on the Shearwater and Wood Duck hybrids, among other things.

Chesapeake builder Dick Thoms just sent us this photo of the varnishing setup in his shop:
He writes: "This is a C-17 after final varnish coat in our barn-converted-to-spray-booth. The spray booth is equipped with pulley assembly to allow for continuous application of varnish on the hull and then on the deck by raising it for the hull, then lowering for the deck."
