Thigh Straps

Easy to install and highly recommended for open paddling boats like the Sea Island Sport and Sassafras 12. Hooked over your knees, these thickly padded nylon straps will give you more control while paddling.  They will also provide a convenient carrying handle ashore.  Four brass snap shackles included with each pair.

For the Sassafras 12 and Sea Island Sport, you'll fasten the thigh straps with plastic eyes screwed to the rail.  (See "More Images" for installation details.)  You'll need four eyes per pair of thigh straps, and eight #8x1 stainless panheads to secure the eyes.
